July: Important protection updates

Following your feedback, we’ve made three key improvements to ALPS – our protection online quote, apply and tracking system. These aim to support your journey on ALPS as well as your client review process. 

These changes take effect from 25 July 2022:

1. Annual statements 

We’ve introduced annual statements for ALPS policies. This makes it quicker and easier for you to view and download an up-to-date report of client and policy information at any time. 

You'll also get a tracking alert a month before the anniversary of the policy start date. This provides a prompt for you to carry out a review of their protection needs and to make contact post-sale.

2. Tracking enhancements 

To make your ALPS journey clearer and more accurate, we have:

- removed an incorrect start date notification when policy reviews were due, and

- improved cancellation notifications, so they are now issued to both policyholders in a multi-life, multi-application.

3. Direct Debit details

We’ve introduced our first post-risk self-service transaction, allowing you to change your client's policy payment details for ALPS policies online. 

Remember to have your client’s new policy payment details ready when you log into ALPS.
