Your club conference and ‘Week of Club 110’ round up

Thank you to all of the club members who participated in our recent events – even when we can’t get together in person its fantastic to see so many of you joining in virtually to benefit from more of the club support. And if you missed it, here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening over the last few week in Club 110.

The annual Club 110 Conference went virtual!

Determined to not let Covid-19 stop our 13th annual conference for members, we held it virtually instead. With over 200 broker delegates joining the two afternoons it turned out to be our largest ever conference. On the first afternoon our Aviva Senior Leaders took to the stage to reinforce our commitment to the club and share our plans looking forward. There were some excellent questions posed by club members during the Q&A live session, and the energetic start to the conference continued with high interaction and debate into the roundtable sessions from Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Risk Management and Claims. Our club evening saw comedian Jason Byrne do an exclusive live set which was quickly followed by a quiz as we separated out into regions. There was a prize for the most creative team photo which went to the Future Leader Programme broker team, congratulations to those involved. Our second afternoon was the chance to delve deeper into learning sessions with the topical business seminars followed by a motivational talk from keynote speaker Penny Mallory. Phil closed the event reflecting on 2020 so far and reinforcing Aviva’s belief in the club and value of our partnerships “I do believe the best organisations thrive in the most challenging times and you, our 110 brokers are the best.”

Week of Club 110

Following the annual conference we also held our first ‘Week of Club 110’. Taking the key sessions and content from the annual conference, the week was your opportunity to access all the learning and club content safely from your homes via your Members Lounge on Aviva Broker. Popular sessions included “Growing in a hard market” with Buki Mosaku (RosAcad) and John Nutter (Aviva) and “Culture – The #1 Strategy for 2020” with Andy Wolfe (Arcadia) and Polly Staveley (TL Dallas). Our 2020 motivational speaker Penny Mallory also turned out to be a popular choice, with members commenting on her talk as “truly inspirational”. Due to popular demand we’re extending the ‘Week of Club 110’ until 31 October, giving you more time to access the content and claim CPD hours. There is also still time to enter the ‘Week of Club 110’ competition for a chance to win a copy of Penny Mallory’s book ‘World class thinking, world class behaviours’, find all the ‘Week of Club 110’ info and details to enter here.
