Improvements to our Minifleet Fast Trade Quote Journey
We’re upgrading the Fast Trade Minifleet journey to help you quote more efficiently, stay compliant and deliver an even better experience to your clients.
What's changed?
Effective for new business from 16 November, you’ll see two key improvements:
- Operator’s Licence Number – now required for larger commercial vehicles
- For any commercial vehicle over 3,500 kg, you’ll now need to enter the Operator’s Licence Number*. To make this easy we’ve embedded a direct link to the official Government site within our quote journey, helping you locate the number quickly.
- We also ask that you input the specific Operator’s Licence Number on any renewals that may be missing this information as part of your usual renewal review.
- Registration status for agricultural, plant or special type vehicles
- When adding these vehicle types, you’ll now be asked to select whether the vehicle is either registered for UK road use or is unregistered.
- When adding these vehicle types, you’ll now be asked to select whether the vehicle is either registered for UK road use or is unregistered.
Why are we making these changes?
Recording the Operator’s Licence Number makes sure we're adhering to complete compliance with current legislation, helping to avoid delays or rework later in the process as well as potential penalties.
Specifying the correct vehicle registration status will help prevent unnecessary additions to the Motor Insurance Database, reducing administration and potential confusion for your clients and other third parties.
How are these changes designed to benefit you?
- Deliver a better client experience – clean, compliant quotes help build trust and deliver faster service to your clients.
- Trade with confidence – staying aligned with regulatory requirements and reducing the risk of penalties.
- Save time and reduce admin – accurate data entry from the outset means fewer follow-ups, less manual correction and a smoother quote-to-bind journey.
