Unlocking greater flexibility - Commercial Combined modular solution

Last year, we committed to de-packaging our digital Commercial Combined product to give you more flexibility and greater opportunities to place business online. We’re delighted to confirm that the final major release is now live, helping you trade more effectively.

What’s new?

Premises and Contents/Material Damage cover are now available as an optional section for new business customers on both Fast Trade and Acturis eTrade.

Why does this matter?

• Increased modularity allows you to help tailor cover to your client’s needs
• Greater flexibility allows more business to be placed online
• Simplifying our offering will help you serve a broader range of clients more efficiently

What about existing customers?

• This change will be effective at renewal, where this falls on or after 1 March 2026. We’ll continue to generate a Premises and Contents/Material Damage cover section for existing customers at renewal to maintain existing cover levels.
• With more flexibility and choice, it’s important to continue to carefully review each client’s needs. If a client no longer needs a certain cover, you can simply deselect it to create a bespoke solution and premium.

What else do I need to know?

• Deselecting or selecting Premises and Contents/Material Damage automatically removes Money & Assault (currently linked). We’ll decouple these later this year for even more flexibility.
• On Acturis eTrade, you’ll still need to complete the ‘Risk Detail’ tab under Material Damage but can then deselect covers under ‘Sections.’
• Minimum cover requires either Public Liability or one element of cover from the Premises and Contents/Material Damage section.
