A Touch of Purple for PCUK

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our event "A Touch of Purple - Connecting and Inspiring Women in Financial Services" on Tuesday 18 November, World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2021. An impressive £21,500 was raised on the day for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Since then, the total continues to climb and now stands at £22,582.

The networking lunch was created to connect and inspire women working in the financial services sector whilst raising money for this important cause. The event was compered by Tracey Threlfall, AON Regional MD North and filled with inspirational and motivational speeches from industry guests including Amanda Blanc, Aviva CEO and Suzanne Liversidge, Kennedys Global Managing Partner. Attendees also enjoyed a panel discussion where Amanda and Suzanne were joined by Lucy Hodgson, Eastwoods Director, Rob Worrell, CEO Ardonagh Advisory and Holly Copsey, AON Broker Manager who shared their career own experiences and personal challenges.

The event also featured Diane Jupp, CEO Pancreatic Cancer UK who shared the fantastic work of the charity and how events like this raise both awareness and funds that will help save lives in the future. ‘A Touch of Purple’ wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our event sponsors, broker partners and friends, Aon, Partners&. and The Ardonagh Group, Kennedys and Eastwood Insurance Brokers and all the attendees who helped make this event so special.

We've been supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK throughout 2021 in memory of our Aviva colleagues, Paula Goody and Paul Routledge. From endurance bike rides to events like above, raising money with the help of industry friends and broker partners. So far, the fund-raising total stands at £67,309.
