Claims trends and insights from a year like no other
For the last 18 months we’ve been focussed on supporting you and your clients to manage risk. Whether businesses were temporarily closed, or in need of help to stay open safely, we’ve continued to share information and guidance to help get us all #backtobusiness. Whilst the roadmap progresses and restrictions lift, there’s welcome positivity, but we must remain risk aware and not drop our guard. To support this journey, we’ve begun to share insights on the impact of COVID-19 and Brexit from a Claims perspective – examining the external influences, subsequent claims trends and, more importantly, understanding what this means for you and your clients.
You may have joined us recently for the 2021 virtual BIBA event - Director of Commercial Claims Chris Hughes and Director of Property Claims Kelly Whittington co-presented a detailed session looking at how the external factors from the past year have impacted our claims activity and what this could mean for claims now and in the future. If you couldn’t make the session or are interested in reading more, we’ve summarised some of the key trends in this document. From the impacts of fewer people driving on the roads, to changes in claimant solicitor behaviour, we outline what’s been happening in the world around us and what we’ve seen as a result.
As ever, we remain wholeheartedly committed to the Claims service we provide you and your clients, and will continue to build on this based on your feedback over the coming months.
We hope you find this document useful – let us know if you have any feedback and be sure to look out for future claims insights coming soon.
