Commercial Mid-Market tracker - now live

We’re excited to share that the enhanced Commercial Mid-Market new business tracker is now available - making it smarter and easier than ever to manage your quote submissions.

This upgrade is designed to give you greater visibility and control, helping you deliver excellent outcomes for your clients.

Here’s what’s new

  • New access point: Once you've logged in, you’ll find the tracker under the ‘Manage Policies’ tab.
  • Real-time tracking: View the status of your new business quote submissions and the allocated underwriter.
  • Broader visibility: See all new business quote submissions linked to your single company number.
  • Enhanced usability: Sort and filter quotes and search by client name or quote number - helping you find what you need faster.
  • Accept quotes online: When a quote becomes available, you can accept and bind cover directly via the portal, streamlining the process for you and your clients.

Stay up to date with the evolving Aviva Broker platform. You can now view and accept new regionally traded quotes quickly online, as well as renew commercial motor and non-motor policies, and make simple changes to commercial policies, such as adding or removing a vehicle from a regionally traded commercial motor policy. This can save you valuable time and free up your usual underwriter to support you in more complex matters.

When logged into Aviva Broker, you can access the Mid-Market services from the My Services dropdown menu via regionally traded business, or by clicking the Manage Policies tab. From there, you can switch between two options: view new business quotes and manage policies. Under View new business quotes, you can search by name and quote number, or filter quotes by product type or filter by status. To view the quote record you want, click View Details.

When you choose Manage Policies and Track quotes, you'll find a dashboard where you can see recently viewed policies, check their status and details of any of your referrals, renewals, and new business quotes. You can now view all your new business in one place and check the latest status of each quote, whether it's been received and is waiting for an underwriter, in progress with an underwriter, quoted with your E-Docs ready to view, or no-quoted. You can also see if you accepted a quote or the policy was not taken. When you're ready, you can approve new quotes online too.

You can search by policy or quote number. To look at a new business quote, just click on the quote number. Your quote summary includes the underwriter's details, so you can contact them directly with any queries or changes. If you and your client are happy with the premium, you can click to accept the quote. You'll then be prompted to review the start date and documentation. You can click Yes, accept quote up to the day before the policy comes into force. If the start date is the same day or in the past, you will not be able to accept the quote online. Accepting the quote automatically authorises the payment. A screen will then confirm a successful purchase with your new policy number. You can also access a policy summary of the new cover and other documentation anytime via E-Docs. 

For policies renewing in the next 28 days, where the invitation has already been sent, you can use the tool to renew, providing no policy changes are required. From the dashboard, simply click Renewals to view policies eligible for online renewal. To renew a policy, simply select it from the list. You'll be shown the policy and renewal details before you confirm the action. Policy documents will then be found in E-Docs.

To add or remove a vehicle from an existing commercial motor fleet policy, simply search for the policy or select one from your recently viewed. To help speed up your midterm adjustments, you'll see a live chat function on this page. So, if you need a hand adding or removing a vehicle, one of our dedicated underwriters is there to help.

To make a change, in this example, adding a vehicle to a motor policy, first select the change date. This can be any date from today onwards, and add a short description of the change in the box provided. You'll then see vehicles currently on the policy. To start, click the Add a vehicle button. If you can't find the vehicle from the registration search, you'll be able to manually input the details to find what you're looking for. You'll then confirm the details are correct, enter a value, and let us know whether the car has been modified.

Next, assign the vehicle to a cover group within the policy by carefully checking the options. This will determine the cover provided, for example, the group shown excludes drivers under 25. If there's no suitable group, use the 'Don't see the group you want' button to refer the case to an underwriter. Once a group is selected, check the confirmation screen. If you’re happy, click continue to quote. You'll then be able to accept the quote or save it for later. Once accepted, you'll see confirmation of the change, and the documents will shortly appear in E-Docs on Aviva Broker. 

To remove a vehicle, select and confirm the correct motor fleet policy and effective date. Then select the vehicle from the list and confirm, and click Continue to quote. As with adding a vehicle, you'll see the quote confirmation, and the choice to accept or save.
