Congratulations to our Aviva FLP class of 2025!

On the 25 November we had the pleasure of celebrating the graduation of the Aviva Future Leader Programme Class of 2025 at the Bloomsbury Hotel in London. The night was a celebration reflecting on the hard work, dedication and growth shown by our delegates over the two-year programme.

Hosted by Dan Wall, Broker Learning and Development Manager, the evening looked back on the graduates' journeys with celebratory reflections from Dave Martin, MD, Commercial & Chief Distribution Officer, UK&I, General Insurance, and Michelle Taylor, Broker Distribution Director, and our programme partner Ian Stutz. We also heard from Chris Braniff and Harriett Hawkins who proudly shared their personal experiences and insights from their journey.

Dan Wall, Aviva - We’re here tonight at the Aviva Future Leaders Programme graduation. This is our sixth cohort of delegates to graduate, and it has been an incredible journey over the last two years.

Michelle Taylor, Aviva - FLP is a really key part of our strategy in terms of how we show up for brokers. It helps our regional independent brokers look at future talent in their business and plan for succession. It’s a two-year course that we’re heavily invested in to help these delegates gain the skills they need to run their businesses in the future.

Katie Watt, HWS Specialty - Personally, it’s been really empowering. I’m confident in saying that I wouldn’t have brought what I have to the business over the last two years without this programme.

Ben Reynolds, Brokers Incorporated - From a confidence point of view and a knowledge point of view, it’s been completely invaluable. It’s changed my entire thinking - not just from what the course delivers through Dan, John, and the team, but also from my peers in the cohort. They’ve taught me unimaginable amounts and given me confidence I didn’t think I’d have as a business owner.

Paul Matthews, Oaklands Insurance - What we’ve really seen is that it’s developed Dee from someone who was a senior employee in the business to someone who’s now a leader. The professional networking side has been so important to her, and she’s been able to bring learning and ideas from others back to our business, which has been really beneficial.

Chris Braniff, Pelican Business Insurance - We’ve met some brilliant people in our cohort and made lifelong friends who will support us - and who we will support. It’s about bringing together like-minded people who want to do well in the insurance space, sharing ideas, and coming up with information you can use in your own business to build something better.

Liam Wyatt, Lansdowne Woodward - The content has been fantastic. I’ve learned so much, and each time we had a meeting, I made sure to take something back to our next board meeting to apply what we’d learned.

Steve Martinez, Lansdowne Woodward - Liam has grown in confidence over the last two years, and we’ve seen his management skills reach new heights. Confidence is probably the main thing I’ve seen come out of this.

Stevie Jeffrey, Firth & Scott - It’s the end of a small but significant era - a marking point where you look back and reflect on what’s happened over a couple of years. There isn’t a single person in this room who’s done the FLP who hasn’t achieved something, noted something, or changed something during this period. I’m just really proud of what we’ve done.
