Personal Lines product changes

As we continue to review our product range, we’ve taken the decision to withdraw a number of additional covers sold alongside our home and motor insurance

From 1 June 2018 the following additional covers will no longer be available on new business or renewals on our Your House, Home Plus, Private Car and Premier Bike products:

Your House and Home Plus:

  • Annual Travel
  • Caravan Cover
  • Small Craft
  • Working from Home

Private Car:

  • PhysioFast
  • Executive Package
  • Family Package
  • Prestige Package

Premier Bike:

  • Personal Gold (PA)

In addition, the following covers which are no longer on sale, will also be withdrawn at renewal as part of this process:

Closed to new sales since Nov 2014. Your House and Home Plus:

  • Home and Garden
  • Personal Accident
  • Sports Section
  • Second Homes Abroad cover

Important

·         For NON EDI policies: these covers will automatically be removed from your customers renewal invites.

·         If you have a delegated authority scheme with Aviva, you will need to manage these changes directly with your customers. Your scheme manager will contact you separately.

If you administer via a Software house (only impacts CDL Premier Bike & Acturis Caravan Cover), the products will no longer be available to sell from 1 June 2018.

Please note: Aviva Private Client products aren’t impacted by these changes

Any additional covers not mentioned above, will remain available.

There will be a 12 month run off process to manage these changes.

If you have any customers affected by these changes you’ll receive a letter in April detailing customers who’s renewals are due in the first 6 months from the 1 June 2018. We’ll write out again to advise the remaining 6 months worth of customers (beginning October), to ensure the 12 month withdrawal period is covered. We’ll also provide a set of FAQs to assist affected brokers through this process.

Claims can be made for these covers for any incident which happened while the cover was in force. We’ll continue to manage any current claims as normal.

Please arrange alternative covers for your customers where possible, to ensure their insurance needs are still met.
