Celebrating the 2024 Aviva Broker Community Fund winners!

Congratulations to the 28 brokers who successfully secured award funding of £5,000, £10,000 or £20,000 for their community causes through the Aviva Broker Community Fund! The winners were unveiled at our awards event on Wednesday 12 March in London, hosted by Dave Martin, Managing Director, UKGI Commercial & Chief Distribution Officer, alongside Rugby World Cup winner and longtime Broker Community Fund ambassador, Will Greenwood MBE.

The event showcased the outstanding efforts of brokers who are going above and beyond to champion their local projects. We heard inspiring stories from those involved in the causes and brokerages and well-deserved celebrations as the broker-backed initiatives received financial boosts from Aviva.

Speaking at the event, Dave Martin shared:

“Brokers play a vital role in their communities and their dedication to supporting meaningful local initiatives has been truly remarkable this year. It's heartening to witness so many brokers who align with Aviva's values and are eager to contribute to their communities.

It’s been an honour to once again sit on the Broker Community Fund judging panel and to hear about the huge difference these projects have made. The enthusiasm that brokers have shown for projects that enhance financial wellbeing and community resilience is truly inspiring and I'm thrilled that Aviva can offer financial support to these outstanding local efforts.

I’d like to congratulate all the award winners, and of course, all the brokers who championed such important and inspiring good causes.

At Aviva, we actively support these and other good causes by giving our people three days a year to use as volunteering days. We continue to encourage our people to put their time to good use by supporting such important community initiatives.”

Amongst the broker-backed winners were sports clubs, community hubs, food banks, recycling initiatives, family support projects and more which all showcased their dedication to promoting either financial wellbeing or taking climate action in their local communities.

In addition to the broker prize fund this year, over £60,000 has already been awarded in matched funding as those involved have been taking part in Crowdfunding to receiving expert guidance on fundraising, promotional support, project management and volunteer assistance from Aviva too.
