Solus opens three new vehicle repair centres across the UK

Solus, an Aviva subsidiary, is due to open three new vehicle damage repair centres across the UK, in Sheffield, Sunderland, and Exeter.

These new sites will complement the existing network of 24 Solus repair centres with other recent new additions, including in Newport, South Wales. In addition, Solus will be moving from its existing Luton site into a new centre in Dunstable.

Simon Smith, Managing Director at Solus, comments: "Earlier in the year, we outlined our growth plans to expand the number of Solus sites, complemented by our network of approved repairers across the UK. Together we can continue delivering great outcomes for our customers, helping them to get back behind the wheel as quickly and as safely as possible."

The repair centres will open throughout this year and create around 90 jobs, ranging from vehicle technicians and consultants to customer care roles. All the new properties will have the latest vehicle technology and be fitted with solar panels.

The opening of these vehicle repair centres is a continuation of Aviva’s strategy to support its motor insurance customers by increasing the number of motor claims managed from start to finish.

Solus, the nationwide network of vehicle damage repair centres, repairs and manages the loss of vehicles after a driving accident or incident, managing over a third of Aviva’s overall motor damage claims.
