Your apprentice, backed by us #NAW2024

It’s National Apprenticeship Week! This week shines a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

We know brokers such as yourself provide good opportunities for career development, however the recruitment landscape is challenging especially when competing for talent with larger companies and other industries.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Davies Talent Solutions to create a structured apprenticeship programme that works with the needs of your business and enables recruits to gain a valuable Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Qualification, recognised by the CII.

Apprenticeships are a great way to attract, train and retain new talent, and our apprenticeship programme helps you do just that.

See what our brokers have to say

“We are great believers in ‘growing our own’ and one of the ways we do that is by apprenticeships which we have found successful over the last 9 years. We are delighted to be working with Aviva on these apprenticeships and happy for the support that they are giving our apprentices.” Kally Shane – Head of Operations, H&H Insurance Brokers

“The help and support that Aviva have provided us with their apprenticeship scheme has been great for our organisation.I urge other brokers to make the most of this support to grow and to develop their own teams in the future, it is a great way to get more people into our industry.” Gareth Rowett - Commercial & Agricultural Director, Rowett Insurance Broker Ltd

See what the apprentices have to say about the programme

“Through completing my apprenticeship, I have enhanced my knowledge of the insurance world, and feel much more capable of performing my role.” Will Hutchings – Allan Boswell, Insurance Adviser

“I have worked as a claims handler for many years for different companies, however I started working for a commercial broker without any previous experience and the apprenticeship helped me to understand the structure of a commercial broker and the wider world of insurance.” Tony Donnelly – NC Insurance, Claims Handler

Now Open

We're now open for applications for our 2024 broker apprenticeship programme and there are 50 places in total. In England, we’ve already gifted £39,734 through the Aviva levy to fund apprenticeship training and it’s only February!
