Enhancing the ways we work together
Throughout 2024, and as we head towards 2025, we’re continually looking at ways to provide the best experience to you, our broker partners, and your clients, when working with Aviva. Our focus is on improving visibility, responsiveness and service delivery through a number of core initiatives.
We remain committed to providing you with the tools and support you need to maximise efficiencies. Better visibility means improved tracking, while enhanced responsiveness helps make sure you get timely access to our services and can make informed decisions quickly. We’re confident that by continuously improving in these areas and empowering you, we can identify new opportunities and pave the way for future growth.
“We’re working on a number of key initiatives aimed at providing a greater level of visibility, responsiveness and improving the experience of placing business with Aviva. We value the feedback we receive from our broker partners. As we look forward to 2025, I’m excited about the developments we are making and look forward to being able to make announcements on future enhancements.”
Michael Yabantu, Managing Director, UK Mid-Market
New Business Quotes functionality
As an example of this, the ‘New Business Quotes’ functionality launched in November, allows you to track regionally-traded new business quote submissions and provide you with updates on their status.
Once your new business presentation has been received and uploaded onto our systems the submission will appear on your dashboard. The information displayed will include the name of the insured, the product name, the quote number, the underwriter’s name (once allocated), the start date, the premium (once quoted) and the status. This information will be updated in real-time allowing you to keep fully up to date with the status of your quotes.
Mid-term adjustment capability
We’ve recently launched a new mid-term adjustment capability on your clients’ Commercial Motor policies too. Previously, Commercial Motor policies due for renewal within the next 90 days were unable to be adjusted. We've reduced this to 28 days now, so you can advise us of more changes, on more policies, allowing you to complete the transaction without underwriter intervention where possible. This change has been made based on your feedback, to provide greater flexibility for your clients and to make it simpler and quicker for you to make amendments.
Claims
From a claims management point of view, we’re continuing to invest in digital capability and have recently announced a new application programming interface (API) in partnership with Acturis, designed to save time by streamlining the claims process, from notification through to closure/completion.
This is the first claims API from any insurer integrated with the Acturis system and is available for all personal and commercial motor, property and liability claims. So, if you’re an Acturis user, you can benefit from a seamless, one-way transfer of individual claim records and updates directly from our claims system into your Acturis system, reducing the need for on-demand updates and manual entry of data and double-keying.
"Enhancing our claims services for our broker partners is central to our plans. Their feedback is crucial so that we continuously improve our propositions. The Broker API is an exciting development and underscores our commitment to improving efficiency and responsiveness through real-time sharing of updates on claims.”
Ryan Birbeck, Commercial Claims Director
Our claims API is currently being piloted with a select number of brokers, with a full rollout from Q1 2025. If you’d like to get involved now though, you can register your interest to use this new functionality through your Aviva Claims Service Manager or Acturis Account Manager.
You’ll have seen and hopefully benefited from a number of these enhancements in 2024 already, but this really is just the start. Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting developments in 2025 and beyond.
