Future Leaders meet the Dragons
So far, this year our Aviva Future Leader delegates have completed five modules and managed to squeeze in a trip to Prague. This month, we continue to keep the delegates on their toes with a visit to the Aviva version of Dragons Den.
The delegates task is to come up with a new idea or proposition to benefit brokers and our customers. In small groups our delegates have been working together with the support of the programme mentors to refine their dragons den concepts.
Delegates will then head to our London head office, aka the Aviva Den, to pitch their ideas to our “dragons” Phil Bayles, Karen Jackman, Mike Greenland, Andrew Scott & Nick Burrows. The dragons will then be asked to score each team on how they identified and understood the customer need, the simplicity of the proposal, how digital will enhance the experience, their financial projections and the quality of their presentation. The winning team’s concepts will be taken forward and sponsored by the Aviva dragons to progress and launch as a proposition.
Developing presentation styles, fine tuning concepts and effective management of difficult questions are just some of the skills our Aviva Future Leader delegates will be showcasing as our dragons decide whether or not to support the proposition. Whilst an Aviva style Dragon's den is a fun concept, the skills required and developed in this task help delegates on their journey to become boardroom ready.
We will soon be announcing the new class of delegates for 2019 and more information about the Aviva Future Leader programme can be found at https://connect.avivab2b.co.uk/broker/resources/business-support/aviva-future-leader-programme/ Plus, in the new year, we will be announcing our 2019 delegates.
