Today, over 850,000 people are affected by Dementia in the UK*.
There’s no cure and sadly only limited treatments available. Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) is an Alzheimer's Society initiative that’s supported by leaders across the insurance industry. They’re aiming to raise £10 million to fund vital research.
I know, only too well, how devastating Dementia can be after my father-in-law was diagnosed with the condition a number of years ago. It’s been heart breaking to see the affect this has had on my family. 1 in 4 of us in the Insurance industry will be impacted by Dementia whether it's us or a loved one. We need to help fund vital research, trials and supporting those living with Dementia.
That’s why, for the 3rd year running, my team at Aviva and I, are doing our part to support this worthy charity.
