Name change for ‘Tradesman’ in our Self-Employed product

To make sure we’re using more inclusive language, we’ve made a change to our Self-Employed policy wordings.

For clients who fall within the ‘Construction, installation, maintenance & repair’ sector under our Self-Employed product, their policy wording will change to ‘Your Self-Employed Construction Policy’, which replaces ‘Your Self-Employed Tradesman Policy’.

In addition to being more inclusive, this change aligns with similar wording in our Mid-Market business.

As there’s no change to the product itself, a Notice to Policyholder won’t be generated.

This is effective Monday 27 February 2023 across Fast Trade and Etrade.
