Introducing Aviva Property Owners cover

Our policy is for your clients who let up to 20 properties from houses and flats, to office and retail premises. They can be covered under one policy, saving time on administering lots of different policies and renewal dates.

Why do clients need Property Owners cover?

If your client owns buildings they let out to other users, they have a responsibility for the building and possibly some of the contents.

Many clients need certain covers to help protect their business such as:

  • Property Damage
  • Property Owners Liability
  • Business Interruption

Why choose Aviva's Property Owners cover?

Our Property Owners insurance brings together a number of covers, so your client doesn't need to manage or pay for multiple separate policies.

What's covered as standard?

  • Property Damage - cover for damage to your client's buildings, including cover for Subsidence as standard with Accidental Damage cover available if required
  • Property Owners Liability - helps to protect your client against their legal liability for bodily injury to third-parties and damage to their property, including obstruction, trespass, nuisance, interference, wrongful arrest and eviction
  • Money - helps to protect your client's money in transit or a bank night safe and at their client's home or the home of any employee, partner or director
  • Property Owners Legal Protection - to support your clients with tenancy disputes or legal proceedings such as eviction costs or repossession

What optional covers are available?

  • Landlord contents - cover for repair and replacement costs if your client rents their property furnished
  • Business interruption - provides cover in the event that an insured loss covered under the Property Damage section results in a disruption to your client's business and a shortfall in rental income
  • Terrorism - helps to provide protection for property that is damaged or destroyed following a terrorist attack including subsequent business interruption.
  • Employers liability – required by law if the business has any employees (paid or unpaid) - cover for if anything happens to their employees as a result of the work they do for your client
