Menopause support now available across all our health insurance policies

With menopause support rapidly becoming a workplace priority, we want to make sure all our customers can easily get the help they need.

That’s why we’ve extended our menopause services to Healthier Solutions and Solutions health insurance schemes, alongside our existing Optimum offering.

And to help you have clearer, more confident conversations with clients, we’ve created a new page that explains everything you need to know about our menopause support, available through Aviva Digital GP¹.

Why menopause support matters

Your clients are facing a changing legislative and cultural landscape, with growing attention on an employer’s duty of care and the need to consider reasonable adjustments when it comes to menopause support.

As expectations evolve, employers increasingly need to show they’ve listened to lived experience, taken symptoms seriously and put practical support in place.

Building a more inclusive workplace

Menopause is different for everyone. But it often has a significant impact on confidence, wellbeing and performance at work, with research stating 1 in 10 women have left a job due to their symptoms when they worked during menopause².

When employees don’t feel comfortable discussing their symptoms and getting support at work, it could contribute to increased absence, reduced productivity and retention challenges. And when symptoms are not well managed, the impact might also extend beyond the individual, affecting partners and family members and contributing to increased stress, poor sleep and distraction for employees. Some employers, particularly SME's, may not always have the dedicated HR resources or specialist knowledge to provide comprehensive menopause support.

Our menopause services, available through Aviva Digital GP*, provide practical, ready‑made support. Employees can use the app as a private, stigma-free starting point to find more information on menopause and their symptoms. They also have access to six annual consultations with a healthcare professional for personalised guidance, without needing a GP referral.

Starting conversations with clients

Our new menopause support page has more information about our services, including an overview leaflet you can share with clients.

You can use our new page to shape your conversations with clients and reassure them that practical, confidential support is already in place for employees through Aviva Digital GP*.
