The Saltus founders worked at some of the most successful financial organisations in the world. They were frustrated that the institutional clients they advised, such as hedge funds, pensions, and endowment schemes, had access to much more sophisticated portfolio management tools than they had access to themselves.
They founded Saltus in 2004 with the objective of broadening access to institutional calibre portfolio management. The aim was to allow investors with more modest sums to benefit from the approach used by some of the largest and most sophisticated investors in the world.
