Fixed premiums for fixed payments

Different to 'traditional' income protection, as your client receives a fixed monthly payment with no complex calculations for each eligible claim if they're unable to work due to illness or injury. This will be paid for up to 12 months and can be set between £500-£1,500 with a fixed premium amount. It's designed to help cover essential outgoings in times of need.

The power of choice when your clients need it

When someone becomes seriously ill, they could be facing a diagnosis that could affect their whole life. It’s a lot to take in.

What they need is the right treatment, delivered quickly and seamlessly. That could be NHS treatment. It could be private treatment. Or it could be that treatments outside of the UK can be more suitable to treat the specific condition, or they simply aren’t available at home.

That’s why we offer Global Treatment, at a small extra cost, alongside select personal protection+ products.

Why Living Costs Protection?

With no complex calculations and no second guessing, it offers your clients straightforward protection if they find themselves unable to work due to illness or injury.

It’s simple. With your help, your client decides:

  • How much they will receive each month – this can be between £500 (£6,000 per year) and £1,500 (£18,000 per year)
  • How long after they’re unable to work the payments start – 4, 8, 13 or 26 weeks
  • How long they’d like their policy to last – from 5 to 52 years

These simple choices help us to set the monthly premium. We don't need pay slips or complicated calculations. Just a few questions about your clients health, lifestyle and occupation.

Please remember that if your client stops paying their premiums or cancels their policy, they'll no longer be covered, and they won't get any money back.

We understand what an impact illness and injury can have on being able to work. Our Living Costs Protection means clients can relax a little, and fully focus on their recovery knowing that they'll be provided with a fixed amount for up to 12 months for each individual claim.

One app with a world of support

The Aviva DigiCare+ smartphone app places a range of health and wellbeing benefits right at your clients' fingertips. The app is powered by Square Health and the benefits are provided by a number of carefully selected third parties. The benefits in the app link to each other, helping your clients turn advice into action.  

If your client purchases Living Costs Protection, they'll receive Aviva DigiCare+ at no extra cost. They can use the benefits as soon as their policy is live and they’ve downloaded the app, with the annual health check giving a great starting point by providing an overview of their health. Within the app your client will find:

Health & lifestyle benefits to help prevent and detect ill health and keep your clients well;

Treatment support to get help when illness has already struck, and

Bereavement support to help ease some of the unnecessary burden at the worst of times.

Aviva DigiCare+ is a non-contractual benefit Aviva can withdraw at any time. Terms and conditions and privacy policy apply, and can be found within the app.
