Al Ward
Hi, everyone. Hi, Colin. We're here today to talk to you about some of the improvements that we're making to our client reporting capability on the Aviva platform. The existing capabilities have been around for a while, I think it's fair to say isn’t it, Colin? And we know that there are improvements to be made and things have changed. Colin, could you talk to us about some of those improvements please?

Colin Watling

Absolutely, Al. I think it's fair to say that our report is now sort of 8-9 years old. We've got a lot of feedback and we've been using that to highlight what's good, but also what's not so good within the existing report. We've got lots of enhancements, but I'll cover three key ones today, the first one being an improved investment view.

Al Ward

Yeah. So, what changes are we making to that?

Colin Watling

Well, you'll be aware that centralised investment propositions have got more and more complex over the last 5-6 years. The new report will aggregate performance, which is obviously fundamental for reviewing a client, but not only that, it will allow you to explore into the constituent elements to understand where that performance is coming from. And it doesn't matter if that's a fund, equity model or discretionary held model, it'll give you that data.

Al Ward

OK.
Nice. That's good. Where else is coming?

Colin Watling

The other big feedback that comes out heavily is our restriction to three years on the existing client report. So, I'm pleased to say we're increasing the reporting period. The new reporting suite will allow you to go back to April 2018 or the inception of the product, whichever is sooner.

Al Ward

Yeah. And that's been a large bit of feedback from advisers, hasn't it that that reporting period is not broad enough? So that's a real big development there. Thank you. Well, what's the last thing?

Colin Watling

And the last thing is personalisation, we're really keen to allow the adviser to get the best out of the client report for the client they're dealing with. So, whilst we have a templating suite today, it's sort of hidden away within the system. So, we're allowing you to personalise the report at the generation stage. So, you've got your standard small, medium and large report, but you can manipulate that at the generation point.

Al Ward

Yeah, that's nice. And that means that advisers can, you know, then personalise it to the client, and the conversation their having with that client right?

Colin Watling

Yeah, they can make it fit. Not only the client, but also themselves so they can adjust the benchmark that's relevant for them, they can add bespoke commentary to the client report, but they can also add their own logo to ensure that the client knows where that report's come from.

Al Ward

Yeah, that's great. So, it should be a vast improvement on the reporting we've got currently, but it's something, it's fair to say as well; it's just the start, isn't it? We've got a few things that we want to continue building into the report over time. So, we're not, it's not just a one and done, but you know we'll continue to improve. We're also keen to hear feedback from advisers, is that right?

Colin Watling

Yeah, please. Yeah. Once the new report is live sort of towards the end of this year, please feel free to share your thoughts, what we could do better, and we can then start to consider that within our road map.

Al Ward

Exciting times and if you want to stay up to date and hear more about what we're doing, please visit Aviva for Advisers on our web page or our LinkedIn. Thanks very much.

Colin Watling

Thanks, Al. Speak to you soon.
