Protection conversations - why it matters.

We know protection isn’t the most exciting of subjects to talk about with your customers. Few among us want to think about when life takes a turn for the worst or our own mortality, but the thing is, it’s really important.

It’s likely that your customers have insured plenty of things that are important to them: their car, their house, their pet, their holiday, their mobile phone. But what about protecting the most important part of anyone’s life – their loved ones?

For your customers, it's likely nothing will be more important than making sure their family will be all right if something happens to them. From taking out a mortgage to remortgaging, from marriage to divorce, there are moments when your customers come to you for expert help. And discussing their protection needs could be essential.

Helping you educate your clients on why protection is important

There are barriers to taking out protection. Many people simply don’t understand it or the value it can bring, whether that’s life insurance, critical illness or income protection. And, of course, they may have concerns over the cost of it, especially when times are hard for so many at the moment.

You can help them move the needle from seeing protection as a ‘nice to have’ to a ‘must have’ to make sure they protect their lifestyle and their loved ones. Dealing with injury, a critical illness or death is stressful enough without the added worry of how they or their loved ones are going to keep paying the bills.
