Did you know, the support extends to funeral planning?

The services available can help your clients support their employees through bereavement. This could be to support them when arranging the funeral of a loved one or it can help them record their own funeral wishes.

Red Apple Law legal services are non-contractual benefits Aviva can change or withdraw at any time. Terms and residency restrictions apply.

Support before the funeral

Before the funeral takes place, employees may have lots of questions about belongings and property, as well as how to locate and understand the will. The experienced team at Red Apple Law can take them through the next steps and give expert advice on things like managing costs, organising assets, and finding a reputable funeral planner.

Support after the funeral

Red Apple Law can help administer the estate and support employees after the funeral. This includes:

  • clarification of legal duties as an Executor or beneficiary
  • support to understand whether Probate is required and what services are available
  • Access to the Executor Toolkit, this tool can help employees with estate administration, funeral planning and gives them access to a legal team for support.
  • step-by-step bereavement and funeral guides

Any time before or after the funeral, employees have access to free online grief counselling via Red Apple Law’s online portal.

Employees can record their own funeral wishes

Not knowing what someone would’ve wanted after their death can create feelings of regret and doubt, adding extra pressure at an already challenging time. With Red Apple Law, employees can record their funeral wishes ahead of time, so their loved ones will feel like they’re fulfilling their requests. This might include the readings and music they’d like at their funeral, plus the employee can update their wishes as many times as they want. Once created, their record is stored on the National Funeral Wishes Register until their family need to access it.
