What is your role?

Responsible for delivery of both individual annuities and equity release distribution in the intermediary space.

How long have you worked for Aviva/been in the industry?

I have been at Aviva since July 2024, and in financial services for over 30 years.

Describe a typical day/week in your role

The best part of my role is that there is no such thing as a typical day or week. My responsibilities range from face-to-face meetings with key external accounts and developing new propositions with internal stakeholders, to assessing risk and governance to ensure compliance with Aviva standards. Additionally, I have various catch-ups with my direct reports and stay updated on market trends and their impact on our business.

What is the thing you’re most proud of that has benefited advisers?

My team. They possess an in-depth knowledge of our marketplace, and the support and education they provide are unparalleled, even earning award-winning recognition. They go above and beyond to assist, challenge appropriately, and know when to say "no," which can sometimes be the most challenging aspect.
