What is your role?

Supporting advisers with the growth and development of their Annuity, Lifetime Mortgage, and Long-Term Care business, from assistance with building professional connections, navigating industry challenges, or gaining the knowledge necessary to better serve their clients.

How long have you worked for Aviva/been in the industry?

I have worked for Aviva for 33 years and been a BDM for the last 14 Years.

Describe a typical day/week in your role

My typical week consists of either meeting financial advisers on a face-to-face basis or engaging over the phone to discuss and educate on our retirement propositions so advisers can help provide better customer outcomes.

What is the thing you’re most proud of that has benefited advisers?

Meeting or speaking to advisers on the phone and assisting them make their business more successful by suggesting ways of generating new leads. It’s good to pass on the experience shared by others who have had success to give advisers the confidence to try new approaches.
