What is your role?

I manage and lead the telephony Business Development Manager team.

How long have you worked for Aviva/been in the industry?

I have worked in financial services for the last 18 years and I’ve worked for Aviva for over 12 years. I started off as Business Development Manager, and for the last 6 years I have been managing the Business Development Management team. Prior to coming to Aviva I worked as a financial adviser so I’m fully aware of some of the trials and tribulations that advisers encounter on daily basis, which is why I’m so passionate about making sure as a team and company we give advisers the right level of support to ensure that they get the best outcomes for their clients.

Describe a typical day/week in your role

The great thing about my role is that there is no typical day or week which is what I love about it, it is so varied! But ultimately my role is to support the team in order to ensure that we are giving the best level of support to advisers to ensure that they get the best outcome for their clients.

What is the thing you’re most proud of that has benefited advisers?

For the 6 years I’ve been managing the team there have been so many cases and instances where the team have gone the extra mile for advisers. Some of these outcomes have been truly life changing, which makes me so proud of the team and the hard work they put in on a day-to-day basis, but also makes me proud of the industry that I work in and how it can change people's lives.
