What is your role?

Platform Adoption Consultant. I support IFA firms with platform functionality guidance, so that they may serve their clients more efficiently.

How long have you worked for Aviva/been in the industry?

I have been with Aviva for 25 years and in financial services for 37 years.

Describe a typical day/week in your role

I deal with emails that require functionality and best practice guidance and I also support BDM's with any topics that they wish to discuss; so they may guide IFA’s with the best possible solutions. I also spend a lot of time on teams or in f2f meetings with IFA’s providing onboarding training or functionality guidance.

What is the thing you’re most proud of that has benefited advisers?

Just those moments when you have provided training or support to an adviser firm that they are so thankful for, especially when it has then resulted in a good customer outcome. I recently played a big part in supporting an IFA that wasn’t using Aviva, and through many meetings, training sessions and ongoing support they are moving their business across to the Platform. It was particulalrly rewarding to be part of the process from the beginning and working alongside the BDM to secure the business.
