Proactive early intervention to help reduce sickness and absenteeism
The Aviva DigiCare+ Workplace app can help your clients and their employees prevent, detect and manage common health and wellbeing concerns. The app, provided by Square Health, includes access to a finger-prick Health Check once every two years, as well as putting a full range of health and wellbeing benefits right at your clients’ fingertips.
Early detection of conditions is a good way to help protect their health. The sooner issues can be identified, the sooner they can be acted on, potentially preventing them from growing into a greater problem. A healthy workforce means less days lost to sickness absence and happier, more productive staff
How it works:
- Employees request their testing kit via the app.
- They provide a finger-prick blood sample at home and return it by Freepost to the laboratory to be tested.
- The sample is checked for 20 different health markers, including risk of diabetes, high cholesterol and liver health.
- A personalised health report is produced.
- The results may be discussed in a follow-up digital consultation with a GP, covering any recommended actions or treatments if necessary.
One test checks 20 different health markers, within 7 risk areas, to spot problems early:
- Diabetes Risk: HbA1c
- Kidney Health: Sodium, Urea, Creatinine
- Liver Health: ALP, AST, ALT, GGT, Bilirubin
- Proteins: Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin
- Bone Health: Calcium, Corrected Calcium
- Gout risk: Uric Acid
- Cholesterol Status: Triglycerides, Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Non HDL Cholesterol.

Use the app to book an appointment to discuss your results with a private GP, or share the findings with your own doctor.
Through the app, you can also access appointments with a private digital GP, a mental health or bereavement therapist and a nutritionist. As well as arranging a Second Medical Opinion.
Simply provide a basic overview of your symptoms.
Then choose a date and time to suit you.
Add notes and include photos if you wish, for the clinician to review.
Choose an expert from the clinicians available.
You can view their bio, check their specialism and useful information.
Then join the consultation by video.
The app also gives access to more services and information.
Order a repeat prescription and have it sent to your home.
Record your medical information.
View your consultation history.
Check how many appointments are left for you to use this year.
And find answers to your questions.
Your eligible family members could benefit too. This could include your spouse or partner and eligible children. Simply add them in the app.
